Having been a journalist for a quarter of a century, his main passion lies in golf course architecture, heritage and the task of ranking them in lists, which is done through a detailed system of criteria. The NCG Top 100s Rankings feature lists in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, as well as a Great Britain and Ireland list, and further lists based on golf course types and value.

Moreover, there is also the NCG Top 100s European Resorts List and the Great Britain and Ireland Resorts List which Dan also oversees.
